Friday - Big Summer BBQ

I'm off to my first networking thing of the year...

I'm ready for a break. It's been a tough week. There are a bunch of projects that are in the final stages of development and there's just not enough time in a day to get anywhere with more than one of them. There's a backlog of other things too - some new projects, some maintenance bits and pieces, and so on, and they're getting rather old now, and naturally some people are getting fed up waiting, which adds to the pressure and makes every day rather tiresome.

Having another village newsletter to do doesn't help either. I like the idea of having a weekend without working on a computer, but it just doesn't seem possible at the moment.

Trying to remember why I wanted to come to this

Just after joining the back of the line out in the pavement, a woman arrived and loudly asked "why do we have to queue?". She looked at me as though I was going to answer. I gave her the silent shrug and tried to purvey both that the question was facetious and that really didn't give a damn.

My attempt to blag a second Pimms failed, at least for now anyway, so I've had to buy a beer at the bar. The good news is that this place is significantly cheaper than the pub in the village, which is conducive with my plan to wash away the concerns of the day with a few scoops, as they say in these parts. You can't enjoy these things unless you get a bit wobbly.

There seems to be two official event photographers ambling about, making people feel self conscious while they're eating

Looks like I need a 'rotate image' function. What am I thinking? I already have a 'rotate image' function. It's not very nicely integrated into the CMS but it's there and it works.
